Flowers are the reproductive unit of some plants. Every flower has its own beauty, but for plants, it serves a critical function of attracting insects during pollination and in some cases, it can also be used by humans as medicine or for food when planted in your garden. It’s also a great component to include in your home decor.
There are creative ways of arranging flowers in your garden or flower bed which will make them look beautiful for the whole year. Today, Jumia House Ghana gives some tips and tricks to guide you on how to arrange flowers in your garden which will give your home that spectacular look.
As you start planting flowers in your garden, you should have a fair idea of how each plant would look like when the flowers start germinating. Some flowering plants look better when they are planted together while others look even better when spaced out. This will enable you to know if you should plant in a row, symmetrically or in a straight line.
It is advisable to plant flowers with wide petals and long stalks at the back of the flower bed and the smallest plant in front. The plants can also be mixed in a special design but make sure you don’t allow the larger plants to cover the smaller ones. All plants should be visible.
The plants should also be arranged in a manner that pale colours like white and grey are grouped together, while bolder colours like red, yellow and blue are planted together as well. This gives the flower bed or garden a much better appearance.
Plants should be arranged in a manner that those with different blooming seasons are planted together. This will keep the bed beautiful all year round. When some plants are dried up and brown, others will bloom and will bring your home a bright look.
